Will you be able to help?
This year, the Boston Sri Aurobindo Center wants to fundraise to support flower mandalas in Auroville on Darshan days. It is an offering to the Divine Mother & Sri Aurobindo.
These mandalas are 10 meters wide and need lots of flowers, plus 25 to 50 volunteers to make. Auroville gardens supply many flowers, but Auroville needs to buy more from neighboring villages to accomplish this task. It is a huge undertaking and takes at least 12 hours to complete one mandala. A finished mandala is a sight be behold, with a meditation at 5 AM to experience the Darshan and watch the sun rise behind the Matrimandir.
